This is my favorite indoor trash can. It is as perfect as can be. I really appreciate the swing lid style. It makes it so easy to open lid to put garbage inside. You barely have to touch lid with a finger tip. Your hands stay clean. The style with the peddle is a bit difficult to operate for mature people - having to balance on one foot for a moment. The garbage can style where you must remove entire lid to place a small piece of garbage inside allows the garbage odor to come wafting up. Plus: This swing lid trash can looks good and is really economical.

I was given a beautifully expensive trash can. Step on bottom to raise lid, nice and shiny metal, and an insert trash compartment, blah blah blah. All these fancy trash cans are just ridiculous. They are heavy, kids already bent the metal can, insert trash compartment is more trouble trying to pull out... I love a nice, tall, simple trash can that I can easily maneuver around the kitchen as needed. I threw the other one out and got this. It's perfect!
