This stool is very well made and sturdy. It was easy to assemble and the instructions were clear. They came very well packed so nothing was damaged. I really like the looks of them and they go so well with my new remodeled kitchen! I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend these stools. The customer service for the company who makes them, Nathan James, is also excellent. The seat cushion is quite firm, but I suspect they will break in more with use.

Wonderful sturdy chairs for the value
This manufacturer of these chairs is phenomenal. I cannot express how customer service oriented they are. I ordered three stools that did not come in the color I anticipated. I reached out to Nathan James to ensure I had selected the correct color since the stock photos were showing the legs to be a darker color. They bent over backwards to rectify the matter. A little over a month later, to my surprise, I was also gifted a box of chocolates on my birthday!!! I would recommend Nathan James products in heartbeat. The chairs are nice and sturdy for the value.
