Good Value for the money

I ordered this item and the company immediately sent it out via FedEx. While I know there are more issues during the holiday, I was greatly disappointed that (first off) it took several days past when it was supposed to be here , as FedEx kept delaying delivering it. I had to wait hours those days watching to be sure those who aren't so kind didn't decide they needed a free gift. Then it arrived with the box completely torn open on one end, extending down one side. How some of it was not missing, is beyond my comprehension. The company and Walmart did a great job on their end, and the item turned out to be exactly what I was hoping for. It wasn't made out of solid wood boards, which I knew ahead, but it went together easy and is a very good solid piece, nonetheless. A good gift to myself and my family.

Beautiful but help may be needed with assembly.

You need 2 people to assemble or someone who is familiar with cams and cam locks using wooden dowels. It is beautiful and functions as described. The flat screen heater is attractive. It was a great deal on sale. Black duct tape blends wonderfully with the veneer finish.🤣

Does the Job, Limited Controls

It does heat and overall it's not terrible looking, but there are some design choices I wasn't expecting. The fireplace controls are on the front of the unit, not hidden or remote-controlled, which makes it look a bit cheap and takes away from the appearance. There are two separate buttons on the front—one for the heat and one for the simulated fire—but there are no adjustable settings. The heat is simply on or off, and the flame effect is also only on or off. There's no temperature control, no flame brightness, and no speed or level options. I have a similar fireplace TV stand in another house that uses a remote and has no visible buttons, and it looks much more polished. This one works and provides heat, but the lack of adjustability and the front-facing controls are definite downsides. It does the job, just not as clean-looking or user-friendly as I expected.
