It's a bottle designed to mimic breastfeeding. While other wide-mouth bottles look like the breast, the unique latch accordion nipple moves and functions most like the breast, helping ease baby's transition from breast to bottle. The nipple stretches, moves and pumps, so baby can latch on and feed just like on your breast. The bottle also has an anti-colic valve. It's a one-piece valve that ensures no air bubbles travel through the bottle, reducing the chance of colic. When breastfeeding, your baby controls the flow of milk by applying pressure to the base of the nipple. This bottle mimics mom by releasing more breast milk as baby pushes against the nipple's base. Also while feeding, the accordion-style nipple flexes as baby moves her head. This allows baby to maintain her latch, thus decreasing ingestion of air. The best transition occurs when bottle flow and mother's flow match. The stage 1 nipple's flow has been reduced to mimic the flow of the breast. Stages 2 and 3 also allow you to increase the flow as your baby grows.

Okay, so the baby isn't due for a couple of months, not making it possible to review this product from a baby's point of view. However, both my daughter and I think these bottles are amazing. Her two older children only breast fed for a couple of weeks, and she is hoping this last one will longer. In either event, these bottles seem perfect. The bendable nipple is awesome, and the valve is a smart addition. So well made, and BPA free, I am sure that when the child arrives and uses this, we will be buying more.
