Purchased this as a "Value of the Day" for almost half price for my four year old grandson. It was a hit; although not yet in school, he has found a use for it- using it as an overnight bag for a visit to his other grandma the very day it arrived. The colors are vivid, and appears to be well made, sufficient for a youngster in grade school. I probably wouldn't recommend for an older child as I'm not sure how well it would hold up to much weight.
