READ THIS REVIEW FOR INSTRUCTIONS! First off, this is an accent lamp, not a reading lamp or a bedside lamp. It's tiny so one shouldn't expect a lot of illumination. The biggest drawback is that there are no instructions, so I had to figure it all by myself. 1) Charging with the USB-C cord is easy, although the connection is a little tight and the angle in which to plug is awkward so be careful there's no mismatch or you'll dislodge the receptacle. When charging there is a little blue light at the plug. When it's fully charged, the blue light turns off. 2) Turn on colors: The silver knob at the top of the shade turns it on with a tap. With another tap, it will cycle to a different color (kelvin temp). There are three color temps: warm white (2700K); cool white (6500K) and warmish white (3000K). 3) Dimming: Tap till your preferred color, then hold your finger on the knob which will dim that temp light. Lift, tap and hold to brighten. Whatever light level you set is memorized, so when you cycle back to it, it is the last light level you set. You can set all three colors to different dimness levels. At $5 a lamp these are an amazing value. That the charge lasts 3 hours is remarkable for the price. We have Pooky lights at 40 times the cost and those only stay charged for 2 hours. Rechargeable batteries can only be charged a limited number of times, so the jury is still out on the lamp's longevity, but get real…these lamps cost 5 bucks! I bought 3 more just to have on hand.

Got it on clearance ($3) and it was great for about a week. I then had to figure out how to take it apart, re-establish the connection point and put it back together. The charge only last a handful of hours and the charge port began functioning as a switch and dimmer when I 'fixed' it. Overall it isn't horrible but if you aren't into fixing, probably not the way to go.
