It's just enough light for customers to read the menu, but not too bright to take away from the inviting low-key vibe of the room. They are sturdy, made of metal- no cheap plastic. And they stay charged for a long time. I love that customers turn them on as needed. It's great having light only when needed and not having to brighten an entire room and waste electricity.
