This is a great value item: solid, attractive, highly functional. Just be aware that it works differently than typical tension rods. I should have read the instructions, as you cannot unwind to a length bigger than the space and then just shimmy it in/up like i would normally do. You must be able to hold it in place exactly where you want it, at the correct length, and then wind it to tighten it into place. I put 84 inches of heavy insulated curtains on it, and has not sagged or shifted at all, even without the center bracket. Great find!

Nice rod for the money

I bought this by accident to use in my shower to go over the glass door so I didn't have to squeegee the door while I had a broken leg. I thought it was a shower rod but guess what it worked for what I needed it for. I was worried it might peel or rust being in the shower but so far so great. Nice black matte color and sturdy material.

Economical for low budget item

So originally I purchased this item for the bedroom curtains but had to change it to living room curtains which are heavier than the other ones but it works as long as you use the brackets from previous drapes. I will be purchasing another one to replace the bedroom curtains rod and would most definitely RECOMMEND!!
