Nursing Mom Best Care Practices: While wearing nursing pads, do not let breast milk dry in your pads as this may cause your nipples to stick uncomfortably. Lactation consultants recommend using a lanolin-based nipple cream while wearing nursing pads to avoid any discomfort. When you feel your nursing pads become damp, make sure to remove them and change into a fresh, dry pair. If you are leaving home, pack a back-up pair of nursing pads in your diaper bag to avoid leaking in public. After purchasing washable nursing pads, make sure to launder them at least once before wear to reduce pilling from leftover cotton fibers and promote better absorption. At the end of the day, gently wash breasts with mild soap and pat dry to remove any remaining cotton fibers. Nursing Pad Washing Instructions Avoid using liquid fabric softener when laundering, as it will impede pad absorbency. Substitute with fabric sheets in the dryer instead. Machine wash and tumble dry for the best care.

I love these nursing pads! They are comfortable and shape the girls nicely, I wish they had bigger sizes. They do have the cotton that sticks to the nip. I rarely soak through them only at night when baby doesn't eat as much and I don't get up to pump. Highly recommend, you are getting your money's worth.
