Everything I'd expect from classic cookware!
I purchased this set as I was weary of replacing non-stick skillets every few years when the non-stick surfaces would wear off. With proper care, seasoning after each use, these pieces will develop a non-stick surface and likely outlive me! The set offers a variety of uses in my kitchen. The Dutch oven is a practical size - not too big, or too small, for batches of soup, stew, chile or a pot roast. The round griddle is perfect for quesadillas, a medium tortilla fits perfectly. Of course, everything can transfer from stove top to oven. I can even use each piece to cook on the surface of my wood stove on these cold winter days. I originally set out to purchase just the round griddle which is included in this set. The value of purchasing the entire set could not be overlooked. Bonus - made in the USA!

I thrilled to find this set available through Walmart as the actual Lodge site was selling this set for almost double of Walmart price. I was happy that even though my local Walmart store didn't have this set in stock, I was able to pay for it online and have it shipped to the store for pickup a few days later. Lodge cast iron is unbeatable for cooking. I would definitely buy this set as a gift and recommend Walmart as the seller.
