Lodge 12" Seasoned Cast Iron Skillet

I named this skillet Big Bertha, because she is strong, steady, and always comes through. This Lodge 10.25” cast iron pan has quickly become one of my most reliable pieces in the kitchen. It's heavy-duty, holds heat like a champ, and gives me that beautiful sear I can't get from thinner pans. What I love: • Reliable heat great sear: Once it heats up, it stays hot. Perfect for browning meat, skillet meals, and anything you want crispy edges on. • Pre-seasoned and ready to go: I washed, dried, and lightly oiled it before first use, and it performed well right away. • Versatile: Stove-top to oven without a problem—great when you want to sear first and finish cooking in the oven. • Better with use: The more I cook with it, the easier it gets to clean and the smoother the surface feels. Good to know: • It's heavy, so I use two hands when moving it, especially when it's hot. • Like any cast iron, it does best with simple care: don't soak it, dry it immediately, and rub a tiny bit of oil after cleaning. Overall, this skillet is the definition of a kitchen workhorse. If you want a pan that's dependable, cooks evenly, and will last a long time, Big Bertha is worth it.

This was a pick-up item. Very pleased with the product especially as it's made in the USA! This was a Christmas gift list item for my niece the only thing that disappointed me was a big round sticker was slapped on the inside of the pan on top of the Lodge sticker telling all the information of item, and how to care for the pan. The Walmart sticker was telling the item ordered when it was going to be picked up and who was picking it up. I get needing to place it however, should of been bagged and put on top of the bag! The pan was great quality, and she was be pleased with it. I just thought you should know the little detail for the future even if it wasn't a gift, I was able to peel it off, but it it made it look like I took off a clearance sticker except that it was 5 inches round! We were able to read it and make out what it says, but I just thought it might be an improvement opportunity for the future, not to slap stickers on the label of the item just poor judgment. Otherwise, the service was great from start to finish.
