It's not the easiest to install, but once you've got it installed it does exactly what it's supposed to. It sometimes is even adult proof for some of our guests.

Bought this to lock 15 month old out of the basement. No store in town (including the 2 Walmarts) carried a baby proof lock for level type handles. So I had this one shipped free to Walmart for like $4 and it actually came within 4 days instead of the 2 weeks it sometimes takes items to arrive. Installed this without the hubby's help, so I'd say it's easy to install. It comes with 2 "guides" - plastic circles with break off tabs that adjust to the type of handle you have. There are plastic pointed bumps that then "stick" to the door when you attach the rest of the lock so it won't move. No adhesive involved. I'm not sure how this will look once we take it off someday, if it affects any part you can see. The level does hang a little lower than it did before I installed it, but I might not have gotten it lined up just right. I saw other similar items that are silver/prettier for more $$, but it's still going to look like a baby lock, so just buy this cheap one because it works! Yes, it does lock both sides of the door when engaged.
