Excellence for rich, true color

Used the L'Oréal Preference hair color previously, because I was trying to cover blonde grow-out as well as matching my natural Level 5 hair color, and afraid of the opacity of the Excellence line. The initial color was amazing because it was luminous and dimensional, almost as though I had subtle highlights. But, the color never did work for my grays and it faded very quickly. After waiting about 8 weeks, I used this, the Excellence hair color line. It came out much truer to the color depicted on the packaging, and it definitely provided better gray coverage. It is an opaque and one-dimensional color, however it is also rich, shiny, and gives my hair a wonderful texture. The Excellence is also lasting much longer than the Preference color. Really depends on what your goal is. I prefer this one, L'Oréal Excellence for a true, long-lasting color.
