Poor engineering

I really don't like this item at all. When you try to tear off a strip of paper, the entire thing twists and bangs into the wall. If it wasn't installed already, I would return it.

Moving parts

I love the design but the TP holder has become quite a disappointment. The arm extending from the backplate will not stay tight so it moves from left to right, and the arms on both sides of the spring loaded bar move forward and backward independently. These appear to be engineering design flaws rather than quality issues in manufacturing. While the contortionist qualities of the product were initially just a nuisance, at this point I am in search of a replacement that will coordinate with the Fairfax design. My Fairfax hooks have recently started moving left and right as well. I expected better quality from a Kohler product at this price point.
