What would I do?

After you lock the key in it; I would still hid the box. Someone could still pry it open with a screwdriver.

Easy to use for my teen when she forgets her key! A safe way to not be locked out.

Heavy Duty Yet Compact Key Safe

As the title of this review states this is a heavy duty yet compact key safe. When you enter the code and remove the 'top' part of the box it has some serious weight to it. I don't know what reviewer "jammer" means by having bought three of these and being locked out every time since all you have to do is push the number code again to open it. Maybe he forgot the code he just set??? Doesn't make sense otherwise. Again, if you can't get in the first time but you do know the code, just push the numbers again in order and use the lever to open it -- the top lever is easiest (although they both move at the same time since once you open it the code 'clears' and that's how the bottom lever is labeled). In any case, you cannot get "locked out" if you know the code. Also, one reviewer states to hide the box even though it has a code because someone could break into it with a screwdriver. I'm not sure how that would happen so you decide for yourself, but I don't believe it would happen. This little thing is sturdy.
