Best multipurpose tool, especially for homes with pets!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Two puppies going in and out of the house dramatically increased our need for a multi-use machine to pick up fur and dirt between regular house cleaning days. This Hoover ONEPWR Emerge Complete does the job for us perfectly! It waits patiently in the corner of the craft room on its charging station. We just turn it on and go over the floor with ease...in minutes! It easily configures to reach corners and furniture. The house stays looking freshly vacuumed every day. And it doesn't feel like a chore; with no electrical cords to roll up, clean up is a breeze. The brushes pick up dog fur and all the leaves and dirt our dogs drag into the house. The two batteries charge quickly. But for our 1300 square feet of floor and our furniture, one battery provides all the power needed to complete a whole-house sweep. Of all the products we've tried over the last 30 years, this machine is by far the best value for the money.

Bad batteries delivered with product

The setup was very simple except the battery after fully charged worked perfectly about 15 minutes then charged again fully lasted a little longer, I registered the product and told Hoover about the battery life and after the second charge now the battery after wouldn't charge and very hot the plug in part of charger and battery, I let cool down and then I put back on charger and still blinking two out of four lights after three hours and don't know if it will catch fire because hot and I bought another battery from Hoover that is supposed to last twice as long, but in the meantime I'm stuck with a battery that came with this product and Hoover said it was Walmart problem, except for the battery issue I would rate this product a 5 star, however you need a appropriate good battery to use this product successfully or you might have a fire so who is responsible is it me for trusting and buying this product through vendors other then Hoover and deserve another replacement battery that works and charges.

Surprisingly Useful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always been a bit of a skeptic when it comes to cordless vacuums but the Hoover Onepwr Emerge changed my mind! I'm still surprised just how much more I vacuum with this stick vac. I find myself grabbing it for quick little clean ups around the house. I have two chihuahuas who shed constantly and I've found that this vacuum is great for getting the hair up off the hard flooring. I used to constantly sweep but not so much anymore. I live in a 1,100sqft house that is about half carpet and half hard flooring and I've found that it works best on the hard floors. Its good for a quick little freshen up on carpets but by no means does it replace a full size standard upright vacuum. The power and suction just isn't the same. With that said I can do a quick clean of the entire house without the battery going dead but after about 20 minutes on high power it will die. Another thing that I really enjoy using on this vacuum is the different functions. I really like that I can change the power level with a quick push of the + or - button. I found that I can vacuum smaller entryway rugs without the vacuum completely sucking the rug up into the brush roll. Also it has the perfect profile for cleaning under furniture. I can clean under just about anything. Overall I think this a great cordless stick vac! I'm very impressed with it however I took away one star because I wish the battery lasted just a bit longer.
