This little dog door is not as airtight as I expected but it's going on a porch, so that's not too important. it looks good and it seems to function well. It will work great for its purpose. If I was going to put one on the main entrance door to a house I would probably find one without air gaps around it.

Freedom to go at will

This door kit was so simple to install and get functional but you do need to be a bit of a handyman it requires taking your door down and cutting if you want to do it right. You can cut it without taking down the door but it takes a bit of skill to do it this way. It will give your pet the option to go outside or even into a separate room without having to open the door yourself. It will keep out most pests and helps to keep your air conditioning from getting out to much.
