HART 25' Auto-Lock Tape Measure, 0.86lbs

I absolutely love this tape measure. I always have one on hand in my home to use when doing home improvement, measuring for decorating, and furniture placement, etc. My daughter was hanging pics with my previous one and broke the retraction spring. I wanted a better one to replace it, but also something affordable. The auto lock feature on this one sold me. I had to order it online because it was sold out in the store. The auto lock is so helpful. You pull the tape out, and it automatically locks to that length. You don’t need to do anything, no struggling to lock it or keep it from rushing back in. With my old tape measures, I would usually have one of my kids pull the tape out for me so I could keep it from whirling back in. Now I can measure most things myself without that annoying issue. The tape itself is pretty strong and doesn’t bend or twist too much at longer lengths. I don’t need to measure wood for cutting, so exact precision isn’t necessary. You will see a small gap, that happens with most tape measures, between the metal end that grabs and the beginning of the tape itself. I push mine all the way to the metal when measuring. I never want to go back to a tape measure that doesn’t auto lock!
