I gave a low score on durability because while it's heavy particle board, the veneer is thin and scratches easily. Definitely assemble on carpet! The reviews on this were so mixed, but I opted to take a chance due to the excellent return policy Walmart has, and I am so glad I did! This cabinet arrived earlier than expected, in perfect condition, and was fully assembled by my husband in about an hour. It is very heavy, has a generously spacious interior that easily fit full sized hangers, looks elegant in our guest room, and fit our needs perfectly. I would gladly recommend!
