As someone who weighs almost 300 pounds, this was the most sturdy bed frame I've had so far. It was stable, barely creaks when I moved. Dad told me assembly was a but hard. My only complaint is the delevery man left it on the opposite end of the building on the ground floor. My 60 year old dad had to haul up four boxes meant for team lifting by himself up the stairs and accross the hall >:(

When we received it. The directions didn't make sense. We had to improvise on some steps. Some of the wood was chipped. The trimming had come off. We had to glue it with wood glue. Some of the bases had cracks in them. The main reason why we didn't return was we had taking everything out. We had no way out of bundling it back to return it nor a vehicle big enough to take it to the store for a return. We had to improvise and make some adjustments to make it sturdier.

This bunk is sturdy and beautiful! I searched high and low for the perfect bunk bed and despite some of the reviews decided to try it out. It's perfect! Our kids absolutely love it. My husband mostly got it together by himself with little assistance from us within 1.5 hrs.
