Sturdy and my kids love it.
Took me about 4 hours to put together on my own. My kids love it, and I am more at ease with the steps on the side for my 6 yr old when he wakes during the night with nothing but a nightlight to see by. I like how you can put together with the steps on either side. Only thing I hesitate on is standing on the bottom bunk to reach my kiddo as there is no middle support for the bottom bunk because of the trundle. Almost wish this didn't come with the trundle, not sure if or when I'll put that part together or if I'll ever need it.
