we bought this for my youngest birthday. it gets up to 10mph, folds down, charges easy. it gets and goes and easy to control the throttle and the brake. the digital screen tells you how fast you are going. and if it dies you can still foot it and use both braking on the handle and the back. it was toting me around just fine I'm 120 lbs. and it never died on us while riding yet. the brake is also easy it out controllable. haven't had any issues so far.

So i got this scooter for a 5yr old that was afraid of how fast this would go. I love that it has 3 speeds. The speeds are "E" which is about 4mph (think slow walk) "N" which is about 6mph and "S" which is about 8mph. First she just hung around in the low gear until she felt more comfortable with the steering and within a week she could do the highest speed without being scared. The lights are a great little bonus too. i highly recommend this for a kid starting out!
