This had no odor and became the proper size very quickly. We like the 2” that it added. We have not noticed that our bodies create cavities as we lay on these. We were also glad to see that it fit under the mattress pad very well. We are glad we bought it. It has created a slight softer top without altering the integrity of the original mattress.
