Everything I'd expect from classic cookware!
I purchased this set as I was weary of replacing non-stick skillets every few years when the non-stick surfaces would wear off. With proper care, seasoning after each use, these pieces will develop a non-stick surface and likely outlive me! The set offers a variety of uses in my kitchen. The Dutch oven is a practical size - not too big, or too small, for batches of soup, stew, chile or a pot roast. The round griddle is perfect for quesadillas, a medium tortilla fits perfectly. Of course, everything can transfer from stove top to oven. I can even use each piece to cook on the surface of my wood stove on these cold winter days. I originally set out to purchase just the round griddle which is included in this set. The value of purchasing the entire set could not be overlooked. Bonus - made in the USA!

We have a wood stove, and I love to cook on it. I wanted to get sturdy cookware...especially a dutch oven. I have now used most of the pieces right on top of the wood stove. I made a pot roast with onions, celery, potatoes, and carrots in the dutch oven. It was delicious! My husband couldn't stop raving about it! I also cooked chicken and other fresh vegetables in the large skillet, and an omelet on the griddle. They all came out perfectly, and the omelet slid right out! They are even better than I expected! I have followed the directions and wipe them with vegetable oil right after I wash and dry.
