For a long time I was hesitant to purchase this coffee maker due to reviews about the metallic finish flaking off. At some point I got over it and took a chance because we are happy with all of our other Cafe appliances. So far no quality issue with the finishes. We are very happy with the coffee it brews. We have been dedicated french press users for years and wanted to change our morning routine. The recommended water to ground coffee ratio is a little stronger than what I used in our french press, but we think it tastes great. Strong and very smooth. We have tried several brew setting combinations but settled on just using the Gold setting. It has been consistently better than what I was creating with the french press. My favorite Sumatra coffee was fabulous. This coffee maker is easy to use and clean up. We are very pleased with our purchase.

I like the coffee pot a lot. I picked it because it was white and I changed everything in my kitchen, so I looked at this one watched some reviews. Some people liked it. Something didn't the only thing that I didn't like about it is that it doesn't get the coffee very hot. I turned it up all the way and it is not very hot at all so that's the downfall it needs to be hotter. I shouldn't have to heat it up in the microwave. Other than that I love all the features.
