Big Papa's Chair
I will be reviewing this product in a two part summation. Firstly, I will review my purchase through Walmart and secondly in a number weeks I will review the office chair. I compared many different heavy duty executive office chairs (weight capacity of 300 - 350 lbs.) by various manufacturers from dozens of retail outlets and retail websites. Walmart and Overstock were the lowest price at this time. Both had this chair on sale for the same price. I purchased this chair on Saturday, March 28, 2015 via the web using free shipping. The chair was scheduled to arrive on Saturday, April 5, 2015, but much to my surprise the chair was waiting for me at home after work today, Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Thank you Walmart. I unpackaged and assembled the chair in approximately 30 minutes. The instructions were clear and concise. The parts came shrink wrapped to a thin piece of cardboard with the alpha character corresponding to the chair components and numeric part inventory (# of screw necessary to assemble chair component). The parts inventory matched the instructions. I followed the seven step assembly instructions and noted an important step (5) prominently displayed in large BOLD type, "Loosely fasten screws manually and tighten them in final assembly." If you follow the instructions, assembly should be quick and easy. Note this is not a chair covered in leather of any type, including bonded leather. It is synthetic and does not seem to be a thick material. I can see this cover being torn, cut or pierced with a sharp object, e.g., pencil, pen, edge of desk, drawer, etc. My office is also my grandchildren's toy room. At this point I am satisfied with the purchase. I tip the scales at 300 lbs. and the chair doesn't seem to be complaining one bit. Let's see if I have any complaints myself over the next few weeks.
