Instructions
. Painting Conditions: Use outdoors or in a well-ventilated area such as an open garage. Use when temperature is between 50°F (10°C) and 90°F (32°C) and humidity is below 85% to ensure proper drying. Do not apply to surfaces that, when heated, exceed 200°F (93°C) or galvanized metal. Avoid spraying in very windy, dusty conditions. Cover surrounding area to protect from spray mist. Preparation: Remove loose paint and rust with wire brush or sandpaper. Lightly sand glossy surfaces. Clean with soap and water, rinse and let dry. Painting: Shake can vigorously for one minute after mixing ball begins to rattle. Shake often during use. Hold can 10-12" from surface and spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Keep the can the same distance from the surface. Keep the can in motion while spraying. Apply 2 or more light coats a few minutes apart. Dry & Recoat Times based on 70°F - 50% relative humidity. Allow more time at cooler temperatures. May recoat anytime. Dries to the touch in 20 minutes, to handle in 1/2 hour and fully dry in 24 hours. Clean-up: When finished spraying, clear spray valve by turning can upside down and pushing spray button for 5 seconds. Clean up wet paint with Xylol or mineral spirits. Throw away empty can in trash pickup. Do not burn or place in home trash compactor. Clogging: If valve clogs, twist and pull off spray tip and rinse it in a solvent such as mineral spirits. Do not stick pin or other object into the stem.

Prevent build-up of vapors by opening all windows and doors to achieve cross-ventilation. USE ONLY WITH ADEQUATE VENTILATION. Do not breathe dust, vapors or spray mist. Ensure fresh air entry during application and drying. If you experience eye watering, headache or dizziness, wear respiratory protection (NIOSH approved) or leave the area. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. FIRST AID: If you experience difficulty in breathing, leave the area to obtain fresh air. If continued difficulty is experienced, get medical attention immediately. My go-to brand for preservation of painted rocks.
I paint rocks with my grandchildren. After we paint the rocks and when the paint is dry, we spray this on to seal the paintings. The rocks are outdoors and get all kinds of weather extremes, but this preserves them for several years. I have tried several brands, but this is the best I have ever used.

exactly what I was looking for, I was actually using this to make Christmas tree ornaments. I had the kids make salt dough ornaments for this year's Christmas tree and I wanted to seal it so they would last for years to come so I used this rustoleum clear coating and it worked very nicely and it didn't have a tacky sticky residue after and cured very quickly I'm definitely going to be using this for future projects. sprayed nice and evenly and didn't hurt my thumbs holding it down which sometimes spray cans do definitely a good brand to use.

Amazing clear protection results!
I would recommend a glass lacquer spray paint over traditional water based paints just because it works. I know the oil based stuff is more harmful to people etc, but its works. So much of this water based products don't or it doesn't last as long. If you are looking for a great sealant for art projects, or your 3D prints go not further than this product.
