This device works as advertized for insects that sting, stick and bite. Use common sense. Conserve the unit's lifetime by switching it off when it's not needed. Switch it on for 15 minutes before needed to clear the area of biting insects. The bulb if NOT replaceble, which I don't like. However, if the bulb flickers or fails, it's probably just the bulb contacts. Unfortunately, you cannot open the unit or see the contacts BUT can be cleaned. To clean them, use an electonic cleaner spray with a thin nozzel extenstion tube. Unplug the unit, prop it in an upsidedown position. Aim directly at where the bulb disappears into the housing. Spray a little all around the bulb base. The spray will penetrate to the contacts. Let it dry for a about 5 minutes. Plug it back in and turn it on. It will most likely work correctly. Otherwise, it recycle it. Hope this is useful.
