This LG 8000 BTU works great.

This AC unit works great. It cools the entire square footage without any problems. I tested the noise level with the noise level of my fan on level one and the fan is louder. I use Eco mode with the temperature at 72 degrees, it has been constantly over 93 degrees every day and it stays so cool that the Eco mode turns on and off throughout the hottest parts of the day.

Replaced failed Central AC Unit..

Quiet compared to one of those portable AC units on wheels.. Entire area here is 550 SQ Ft. This unit is designed for 550 sq ft. So far the air is much drier, and at the lowest setting , F1 Fan speed, and temp set on 75 degree, and cooling, outdoor temps are close to 100 and humid, and the furthest from this unit bedroom, it is 79 degree.. Do not rely on the instructions, go to you tube, find a comparable unit and follow..
