Sturdy, with a good bumper around the footbed to keep you off the pavement. Footbed is as comfortably cushioned as my Crocs. I like the added footbed because flipflops can be flimsy; these are not. I bought 11 pairs in the 3 colors for gifts. I sized down to also send to 3 women.
