Rug is precisely as pictured, very bright and playful in granddaughter's playroom and she loves. This rug is also very "mannerly", has a good firm backing and probably because of the low-ish pile, lays very smooth and flat within couple hours. Would always recommend one of the woven mats underneath, especially for safety. Very pleased with this purchase!
