These are the cutest most versatile newest kitchen items I currently have. When I first opened the box to use them, I contemplated what I would venture to make in them first. Because our weather is still somewhat hot, I knew I didn't want to prepare a stew meal in them. So I decided to prepare a hot dessert. The first hot dessert that came to mind was apple popovers. I purchased pastry sheets from my local grocer. I sprayed the cast iron pots with cooking spray, cut the pastry sheets into strips and cut the strips in half. I pressed each piece making it larger than the cast pot, dropped it over the pot and filled with canned apple topping. Any fruit can be used. I baked the popovers without the lids on them to ensure the pastry browned evenly. Once the popovers were done, I stored them with the lids on them in the fridge. Once anyone was ready for a quick snack, we put the pot in the microwave with no issues and topped the popover with vanilla ice cream. The pots didn't take up much space in my fridge at all. Clean up was easy. I didn't have to soak them to get the cooked on apple topping from the side. Soaking in plain water made the clean up easy I did hand wash and hand dried the pots after use. They stored easily in my pantry for future use. My next task will be to prepare a French Onion Soup in them. I can imagine using them for several different menu items. I used my pots to prepare food but they can also be use to serve food. The options are plentiful especially if you are one who likes to get creative and will likely never get bored.

These mini cast iron pots are really neat. They are very heavy, and durable. They are perfect for mini mac and cheese bakes, mini meatloafs, brownie cakes, and much more. These are small, but a cute addition to the kitchen. Can be used for dips at get togethers or special occasions.
