This is not a fluffy cloud of a shoe. They are a stiffer-bottomed shoe and they are warm. I walk in them outside to the car or to the mailbox. No problems in doing so. They are a good deal. If you live up north where it's really cold, then sure, put some wool socks on as well I was about to sweat in NC with these on inside. Great to kick around in though, especially if you have cold floors.
