Beautiful chairs, but difficult sellers

My husband and I bought eight of these chairs and I have to say first of all they are lovely. They are comfortable, they look exactly like the pictures, and they are just truly elegant, reminiscent of the art deco/mid-century vibe. They are truly my style and they appear well-made. After assembling one chair, I realized that they were ill fitting for our dining table. They were just too short. But we liked the chair so much we wanted to keep two of the chairs for a sitting area and send back the other six. This is where it became challenging. I immediately reached out to the sellers who were dismissive and told me that I should just sell the chairs or give them away to other people. They specifically said I should just give them away to my friends or family because it was too expensive to return. I don't know what that was all about, but it took me three emails to get a return started with the last email me threatening to reach out to Walmart and my credit card. I was issued six return labels, I printed them out and I took the chairs to the UPS store. I tracked their shipment and they arrived safely to the address on the labels. It took the sellers over a week and a half to return my money minus the shipping charges. I don't know why there was a hesitation, but it certainly was more challenging than it should've been. So unless you are super certain that these chairs are going to work for you, I would avoid purchasing these chairs (or anything else) from this seller. Amazon has these chairs as does Home Depot and Bed Bath %26 Beyond. Maybe the sellers operating on those platforms are easier to work with.
