A great, well-made wool rug for the right space.
This is a really nice, well-made area rug-- as would be expected with the Safavieh brand. I ordered it for my foyer in a 5 x 5 size (which is hard to find), but the color didn't work out. The photos give you a sense that the rug comes off as mostly black with cream background, but to my eyes, when I laid it down it looked like a cream rug with abstract black and white stripes (hence the suitable name for the rug). Guess I was hoping it would be my version. Having said that, the pile is very nice. The pattern would work better in a child's room or whimsical nursery. The price is great considering that the rug is wool.
