Got this for $269 which included 1 year of Microsoft 365 (which costs $69 to renew annually at last check so an even better deal). The included wireless mouse is a nice add-on but not the deal-maker. The unit boots up quickly from the SSD (at 128GB it's marginal size but great for all I need). A voice menu takes you through setup which inexperienced users will find helpful. Microsoft 365 activated the first time I opened one of the applications. The unit automatically located my Wi-Fi and allowed me to connect seamlessly. The size is perfect for travel if you can live within the 14" screen. For everyday use it's a great laptop. Serious gamers or those needing massive on-board storage look elsewhere. Some ads for this show an SD card slot, but the packaging had a note stating that is available only "on select models". This model was NOT selected, but with 2 standard USB ports and 1 USB-C connectivity should not be an issue via an external card reader. There is an HDMI output if you want to use an external monitor and even an ethernet port if you happen to stumble on a Motel 6 with only wired internet. The power button is a bit recessed requiring a firm press to fire up the unit and the silver keys with thin black letters/numbers can be difficult to see in low light, but again we're talking about a sub-$275 laptop so a backlit keyboard is out of the question. It runs Windows 10 in "S" (safe) mode which I believe limits you to Microsoft's Edge browser unless you disable S mode (I did as I prefer Chrome). All in all for basic on-line banking, shopping, e-mail, web surfing, etc. a fine machine. I don't use any social media but I'm sure it will serve that purpose as well. I purchased this on-line on a Thursday and Walmart shipping delivered it on SUNDAY...shipping was free. Nice touch.
