Young folks just don't get it, We're very happy

Wanted an inexpensive record player for my partner. This had the look and it has the exact sound we were looking for, at a very reasonable price. I read a lot of reviews complaining about the tin-ness of the sound, well kids, welcome to how us older folks grew up listening to music. Very happy with this purchase.

Great player, simple fixes for older records

Love this little player! The speakers are great for my needs. I thought I would end up connecting to Bluetooth speakers right away, but naw. No need. It is great to have something I can just fold up and put away as I have a small house and did not want to have a proper stereo set-up. Only negatives: I taped a penny to the top of the needle right away as it was skipping. Now, my records are old so that might have contributed to that issue, but the penny on the needle trick worked brilliantly. The BIGGEST problem I had might have been due to my old records again: A few of my 33 1/3 RPM albums were dragging as they hit the back cover in spots. My records have warped a bit over time, though, so newer records should fit fine.. But, there is a fix for this!! I purchased a turntable mat and that raised it up enough to keep the record from bouncing off the cover. (The mat was huge so I cut it down a little.) All is well! So happy to play my old records again and the price was great.
