Received item a few days ago. This is an HP Gaming Tower. Fantastic. This came in a nice HP BOX. Whats inside? HP Gaming Tower Key Board Mouse Power Cord This gaming tower is absolutely awesome at an affordable price. This was very easy to setup. Like most computers today, its very easy to connect the cords. Once you have done that, go ahead and turn it on. Once the screen has loaded, it will ask to either create a Microsoft Account or Log In to an existing one. This gaming tower can be connected to WI-FI or hard line connection. I prefer hard line connection for internet. Faster download speeds. This is Windows 10 ready and does come pre installed with Office. If you have a subscription for Office already it will simply transfer over. So this is what you want to know. The details. How fast is it? Memory? Graphics? Hard Drive space? First before we get into that, it has a dvd/cd rom drive. It does appear to be the re writeable kind. So I do recommend using NERO burner. Ive used that software for years and its very easy to use. Now. The specs. We will start with the graphics. This Gaming Tower has NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1050 Ti graphics card with 4 GB GDDR5 dedicated memory. This means, games will look super good with this graphic card. It has a 1TB hard drive. Not horrible. If you are like me, more hard drive space needed, then buy an external hard drive with a larger capacity. It is Wireless Lan 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and bluetooth ready. This covers all internet connections from a router. 5.1 surround sound card. So if you have a speaker setup for gaming, this will pump out the sound. 8GB DDR4 memory. Thats pretty good for internal memory. This has HDMI OUT, DVI, Display port. So this means you can connect this to how ever big of a TV you would like to use for a monitor. This GAMING TOWER software includes WINDOWS 10 Home, McAfee LiveSafe 30 day free trial software, and DropBox. Seeing is this a fast Gaming Computer, you can play like, ROCKET LEAGUE, CALL OF DUTY, or whatever game you are into. This is an awesome gaming tower and pretty affordable. What I dont know is can you upgrade stuff inside if needed. I will tackle that another day. This is going to make a 13yr old son of mine very happy when he gets this for Christmas. The HP Pavilion 690-0083w Gaming Tower shipped very fast and was packaged really well. The contents of the box was perfect. I easily connected the included mouse and keyboard to the hard drive and plugged in the ethernet cable to the back before plugging the tower in. I connected the HDMI cable from my TV to the hard drive and connected the RCA splitter from my stereo to the headphone jack on the back of the tower. The first boot up was fast and there is a step by step guide to help with set up. I installed some of the programs I regularly use with the Microsoft Store app and I was on my way. I also connected my wireless mouse and keyboard and tweaked those settings easily in the computer settings. Setup was pretty fast and after being connected to the internet for a bit the computer notified me to do a restart to install updates. The update install was less than five minutes. WOW!!! I had no idea how slow and creaky my older windows 10 PC was until now. I was able to stream movies and TV perfectly and the video clarity and sound are amazing! All this time I thought I just had a bad internet speed, the HP Pavilion 690-0083w Gaming Tower proved that wrong! There are no video glitches, no audio issues, nothing! I was amazed at the lightening fast speed that it loaded web pages. All of the programs I already used were that much better with this PC. If you look at my photos you will note that I have my tower in a cabinet. I use my pc with the TV in my living room and although the green lit features on the front of the tower are very impressive, they are too bright and distracting when located anywhere facing in the direction of the viewer. There are 6 USB connections on the back of the tower and 2 on the front of the tower. The HP Pavilion 690-0083w Gaming Tower is the best PC I have ever owned! I am now an HP believer!
