I love how easy, quick, and tasty the split lentils were to make. I usually have to cook whole beans in my pressure cooker for 30-60 minutes before they're done, while these split lentils took less than 10 minutes. There are days when I want to make legumes without having to wait a long time for them to cook, and these lentils solved that problem. They cooked faster than beans and whole lentils, making them an easy meal to make in a pinch. Another plus was that they didn't need a lot of water to cook in, so I could add just as much water as needed and serve the lentils without having to drain off any of the cooking water. They were very forgiving if I did add too much water, since the lentils helped thicken up the liquid to a soupy texture. I found that they could be seasoned with almost anything. Sometimes I just sprinkled on some cinnamon and that was good enough. They were a very versatile legume. On top of all that, the lentils came in a vacuum sealed package and the brand claimed to use substantiable farming methods.
