Basil and Neroli by Jo Malone for Women - 1 oz Cologne Spray

I have many Jo Malone fragrances and this is among the top for me, it's fresh and light perfect going into spring. I have been hoping to get this fragrance for a while and now it's in my possession it's the go to. I also LOVE orange bitters which was limited edition pre Christmas and would love to see it as a regular in the collection. I am fortunate to have some left but it sold out so quickly, it's precious!

I was really excited to hear that Jo Malone had released a new fragrance and ordered Basil and Neroli as soon as I got the email advertisement! It was after ordering that I read the reviews. All of them described it as Jo Malones 'most unisex fragment yet!' This worried me as I just don't like unisex fragrances and even find Lime, Basil and Mandarin a little too masculine and 'aftershave like.' The order arrived and I was getting ready to return the order after one sniff...when I fell completely in love with it! It certainly isn't masculine at all and in my opinion neither is it unisex. Floral head notes hit you as soon as you smell it, followed by the fresh, aromatic basil. The overall result is light and feminine, yet complex, heady and almost 'ethereal.' I liked Earl Grey and Cucumber, Wood Sage and Seasalt and Amber and Gingerlilly, but this one beats them all hands down!
