great foundation with a bit of learning curve

They don't really make a lot of cream to powder foundations these days, which is essentially what this is. The brush is fantastic and works really well to blend the product. Less is definitely more with this product. One swipe with the brush in the pan is enough to do my entire face with medium coverage. Initially I used way too much and ended up with more of a full coverage look which I don't really care for. I have combination skin and found it did looked a little cakey on dry areas if I didn't put a moisturizer first. A light moisturizer was all I needed to eliminate this, and really doesn't all foundation look way better on prepped, well moisturized skin? I think asking your foundation to moisturize AND even out your skin tone is too much, those are entirely different jobs. This lasts really well when set with a powder literally a fully 8 hour work day (I haven't tried it otherwise, I always set with a powder, it just makes all foundations look and last so much better). My only issue with this is that it was tricky to colour match (and there is zero help for this online), as the colours also appear much darker in the pan than they go on (because of COVID I couldn't try this on in store). It was a bit of guess work, but I went with FB 4 (fair complexion with yellow undertones). I don't think it's a perfect match but it's workable (I'm usually more of a pink or neutral undertone). I like this enough that I would repurchase, so hopefully in the future I could be colour matched properly in store.
