This is the best litter mat I have ever used. It captures 90% of the litter kicked out of the pan and is so easy to recycle that litter. Open up the velcro and pour litter back in the pan. I was afraid the kitten wouldn't step on it and that hasn't been a problem at all. I bought another one when I added a 2nd litter box. I would recommend buying the biggest one to capture more litter.
