We put it together about 3 days ago (2 of us) and it took a few hours. We were surprised by the smaller appearance of the bed than we imagined but it works really well for our small room space. We decided a 6 inch memory foam mattress would be best for it. Def seems best for kid room (since low to the ground) but when it folds out I can see adults guests being happy with it
