If your pond is not properly aerated, it could suffer from low oxygen levels. How loud are Airmax pond aerators when they are running? 

The Airmax aeration systems have a range of decibel ratings depending on the size of the compressor. These systems are generally no louder than or equal to the sound of a window AC unit.

How much electricity does the unit use?

The Airmax PondSeries PS20 only draws 4.1 amps of electricity. The PS20 is 115v and can be plugged into a standard outdoor GFCI outlet. The compressor can push up to 4.7 CFMs of oxygen to your pond.

Can I bury the airline?

We do not recommend burying the included airline. Instead, use 5/8” direct burial airline (sold separately) when trenching the line. You can connect to the included weighted airline once you’re at the pond’s edge. 

Can I add additional diffusers to the PS20? 

No, this system cannot support additional diffusers. Consider sizing up to a larger aeration system if multiple diffusers are needed. 

What is the maximum water depth at which the diffuser will operate?

 Fifty feet of water is the maximum working depth of all PondSeries Aeration systems. Depth matters. Diffusers placed in deeper depths are more efficient at aerating ponds, so understanding your pond depth is vital to ensure you correctly size an aeration system.
