Cooked chicken wings great; french fries not so much. The cookbook that came with it has no common everyday things we eat in it, i had to google how to make fries and it still turned out bad. Nice product and I will surely stumble through it to get it right.

I purchased this air fryer to replace my old one. My initial impression was that it was quite a feature rich unit. Lots of presets and the ability to dial it in to your preference. I was concerned about the plastic smell that some reviews had complained about but overall it wasn't too bad. The users manual does warn about the smell and recommends turning the fryer on for 30 minutes at 400 degrees before using it. I completed this break in procedure 3 times with a cool down in between and the smell was gone within the second heating. The first use was frozen fries and pork chops. The fries were crispy and the chops were cooked to perfection with a nice char on the outside. Best yet there was no plastic taste to the food! I would recommend this air fryer for anyone looking for a large 8 qt to feed their family. I already had accessories for this size and they fit perfectly. I like how easy it is to adjust temperature/time or to use the preset buttons including the options to turn the preheat/flip food on or off. I can't wait to try baking cookies to see how those turn out in this air fryer.
