I've had these BNX filters in my house for exactly 7 days now, and I can already see a massive difference compared to the cheap fiberglass ones I used to use. I was a bit skeptical about the claim that I'd notice cleaner air in 48 hours, but by the second or third day, the house definitely felt less "heavy." I have allergies, and usually, I wake up feeling pretty congested, but that's cleared up significantly this week. The installation was about as easy as it gets. These are 14x20x1, and unlike some generic brands that are slightly off-size, these slid right into the housing without me having to bend the corners - specifically with the lowest floor where I generally have an issue. I noticed the one-piece frame feels a lot sturdier than the taped-together ones, which is nice because it doesn't rattle when the air kicks on. It's also good to know they're Made in the USA (specifically Houston) in an EPA-registered facility, so I'm not worried about weird chemical smells coming off the material. I actually pulled the filter out this morning just to check it, and I could already see a thin layer of fine dust and pet hair trapped in the pleats. It's a little gross to see what I was breathing in before, but it's proof that the "Allergen Defense" isn't just a marketing gimmick. For a 6-pack, the value is definitely there. I have a 3-floor house so I like having a 6-pack to do 2 rounds of replacements… generally when I buy air filters in big-box stores, I can only find 4-packs which is a bit annoying.
