Heart attack and stroke warning: NSAIDs, except aspirin, increase the risk of heart attack, heart failure, and stroke. These can be fatal. The risk is higher if you use more than directed or for longer than directed.
If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. It is especially important not to use diclofenac at 20 weeks or later in pregnancy unless definitely directed to do so by a doctor because it may cause problems in the unborn child or complications during delivery.

For your arthritis pain: Use 4 times per day every day; Do not use on more than 2 body areas at the same time; Use ENCLOSED DOSING CARD to measure a dose; For each upper body area (hand, wrist, or elbow) - Squeeze out 2.25 inches (2 grams); For each lower body area (foot, ankle or knee) - Squeeze out 4.5 inches (4 grams). Read the enclosed User Guide for complete instructions: Use only as directed. Do not use more than directed or for longer than directed. Apply only to clean, dry skin that does not have any cuts, open wounds, infections or rashes. Do not apply in the same area as any other product. Do not apply with external heat such as heating pad. I've had Rheumatoid Arthritis for 45 years and this medication applied to my hands gives me the ability to hold a comb, brush my teeth, and tie my shoes. it does not work as well for larger joints.

I was getting severe resistance to obtaining oral pain medication i was described as "addicted" not true I had an increcible home health RN "Annie" that rubbed Voltaren on me. OMG the pain was gone 5min later! Ive been using it ever since about 2 yrs now. Addicted? absolutly!! There are others on market but as an RN at least try this gel cream! Goes on easily, lasts for hours (I apply once a day) Got nothing to lose but your pain, no pain dr's to deal with no blood or urine tests for opiaids Try it. walmart had small tube for $11 and if any WM cash it can be applied

Really does work well.
Not sure why there is a rating for taste. Don’t think I will try it that way. Always doubted this cream worked as good as the hype. However, the arthritis has gotten really bad in my fingers. Since I have been applying to my hands my fingers hurt less. I am now a believer. It is pricey but there are often coupons available. Would highly recommend.
