I've previously owned several butter bells and wish I had found this one first. The quality is excellent! The water fill line is greatly appreciated because I'm no longer second guessing myself as to whether I'm adding too little or too much. While it does hold a full stick of butter, I choose to only put a half stick since I'm not a frequent user ( Thank you widowmaker heartattack, lol). This bell is quite a bit heavier than my previous ones and I love it! The handle seems to be molded with the lid and is much easier to grip. Buy it now and don't wait as long as I did!

It's a great idea if you need soft spreadable butter instantly! This method eliminates the 'wait ' for the butter to soften when removed from the fridge.. Downside: If you don't have the patience to wash the container every three days and put fresh water in the container and re pack the butter in the top portion of the crock, then do not purchase. It takes a little time to do this correctly. Tip: Read the instructions on the website before purchasing. The item was very well packed and arrived in perfect condition.
