Forstner bit is suitable for softwood, hardwood, solid wood, plywood, coated particle board, laminate and MDF. Easily drills flat-bottomed and pocket holes with precise, smooth finish. Widely used for furniture joints and woodworking projects, such as mortise joints, dowels, hinge cups, shelf pin, pocket screw.
The forstner drill bit can be used with handheld drills, drill presses, CNC routers, and lathes. Recommended to use on desktop (fixed) equipment. The hex shank grips the chuck or extension adapter securely and increases torque transmission, reducing slippage inside the chuck.
Note: Use a cutting oil or lubricant, control the speed, apply pressure gradually, and always wear personal protective equipment. Always keep the forstner bit firmly in place when drilling. The cutting edge and tip should be sharpened in time.
