I made a trip to Walmart for this product for the healing process to continue without delay . The wound needed adherence protection continuously . This was recommended by my dermatologist after he excised a lipoma. I healed fairly well, so I'll guess it did the trick. The consistency is similar to any antibiotic ointment, but not as greasy or thick as Vaseline.
